      <title>Junior Reclamation/Remediation Specialist</title>

Offering a great place to work, NorthWind has a team of motivated employees who are highly trained and knowledgeable with a vision to be an industry leader in the provision of environmental services.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Assisting field leads and site supervisors on field projects, primarily in central and northern Alberta; this can include Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, remediation and reclamation projects, detailed site assessments, and vegetation monitoring, as required.</li><li>Field preparation and project management support for field activities.&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting project managers with office tasks including preparing technical reports, managing and analyzing data, coordinating ground disturbance, and developing work plans.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>0-5 years’ experience with field and office tasks related to contaminated site assessment (Phase 1/2/3 ESA), reclamation activities in agricultural, forested and peatland land uses, including detailed site assessments.</li><li>Working knowledge of the regulatory guidelines and criteria associated with remediation and reclamation work in Alberta.</li><li>Degree or Diploma related to Environmental, Natural or Physical Sciences.</li><li>Professional status or eligibility for professional status with APEGA, AIA, or ASPB.</li><li>Experience with soil and landscape classification and description is an asset.</li><li>Experience with Wetland and/or Wildlife Assessments is considered an asset.</li><li>Experience with weed control is considered an asset.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Available to travel throughout Alberta.</li><li>Valid Alberta driver’s license.</li></ul><p><b>Additional Information</b></p><p>Our team consists of experienced consultants and technicians with varied educational backgrounds and expertise.
